Dust filter bag selection——PTFE bags(1/2)

Nov 08, 2022
PTFE dust removal bags are widely used with good results, especially in large high temperature baghouse dust collectors where they are more commonly used. With this technology the production of glass fibre film filter media dust removal, low running resistance, long life, no film off phenomenon, long-term working conditions at 260 degrees (instantaneous temperature up to 300oC), all the performance of the dust bag are no change, the yield of the dust below 5um for the following 11.0 m dust bag life will be more than 2 years.

The material used for the ptfe dust bag is known by the scientific name polytetrafluoroethylene, the Chinese trade name "Teflon", "Teflon", "Teflon", " Teflon" and so on. Polytetrafluoroethylene is called "King of Plastics", it is a polymeric compound made of tetrafluoroethylene which is resistant to all chemicals other than molten alkali metals, chlorine trifluoride, chlorine pentafluoride and liquid fluorine, and is unchanged by boiling in water, and is widely used in various applications where resistance to acids, bases and organic solvents is required. The ptfe bag has sealing, high lubrication non-adhesive, electrical insulation and good anti-ageing ability, excellent temperature resistance (can work for a long time at a temperature of plus 250 to minus 180). Teflon itself is not toxic to humans. Operating temperature -190 to 250, allowing for rapid cold and heat or alternating hot and cold operation. Pressure -0.1~6.4Mpa.

1)Excellent temperature resistance up to 280 degrees.

2)Due to the special molecular structure of PTFE material, it has extremely good chemical stability and corrosion resistance, which can improve the chemical attack of the filter material.

3) The non-stick, water-repellent and non-flammable characteristics of the PTFE fibre material make this fibre the most excellent filter material.

4) This type of fibre is used as a base cloth, which basically ensures that the strength does not decay during long-term use

Fibre form: because of the different spinning methods, the fibre colour is divided into white and brown. White fibres are more pure, and the shape of the fibres is mostly flat, while brown fibres will contain a small amount of impurities, and the shape of the fibres is mostly round.

The Fatoms in the PTFE molecule cover up the C-C bond and the C-F bonding energy is so high that it is not eroded by any chemicals except alkali metals and fluorine elements.
